Shade grew up in Oregon and has lived in the Willamette Valley for 30 years. They have two business degrees, in Marketing and Management, from Oregon State University, and manage their own business, Made By Shade. They spend most of their days developing unique baking recipes from their home kitchen in Dallas or volunteering with Capital Pride. In their free time they enjoy playing TTRPGs, bouldering, and trying new cuisines.
