Salem Capital Pride is hosting our first Queer Prom
The theme of the evening is Enchantment Under the Rainbow. The dance floor will be decorated in florals and jewel tones across the spectrum.

Hours
Queer Prom will run from 5 pm to 11 pm on Friday, April 7, 2023.
The first half of the event will be open to all ages, from 5 pm to 8 pm.
From 8 pm to 11 pm we will be shifting to our after hours prom for people 21 and older. (IDs will be checked at the door during the entire event)
Location
The dance will be held at the Spinning Room (3rd Floor) of the Thomas K Woolen Mill at the Willamette Heritage Center.
The Willamette Heritage center is at 1313 Mill St SE and has its own private (free) parking lot. Signs will direct you from the parking lot back to the historic building. If you need to be dropped off near the entrance due to accessibility needs, please contact us in advance to make arrangements.
Admission
This is a ticketed event, but tickets are free. We have a limited capacity so we are distributing tickets in advance to make sure we don’t go over capacity.
All 300 pre-sale tickets are claimed, but we will have additional tickets available at the door.
We use a third party ticketing system (donorbox events) to distribute tickets and collect donations. They will send you an email confirmation of your tickets to present at the door.
Tickets are free, but all donations go to helping us put on events and programs for the community. We are also hoping to raise enough funds to start local community grants this year. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated.
Food and Drinks
We will be hosting a bar and limited dinner options as a fundraiser for this event. Cash, card, and mobile payments will be accepted.
A full list of available food will be provided closer to the date of the event. We are currently planning on having an allergen friendly diet with meat, vegetarian, and vegan options.
Our bar will host local beers, wines, and ciders as well as non-alcoholic sodas, juice, and sparkling water.
Please contact us with any questions about dietary concerns.
Accessibility
The Spinning Room is wheelchair accessible. It has two bathrooms, each with one ADA stall.
We will have all announcements displayed via projectors.
There will be a sensory relief room with earplugs, fidget items, and blankets.
If you require any additional accommodations to participate in this event, please contact us at salemoregonpride@gmail.com.
Volunteers
Volunteers are needed to put on this event.
We need people for decorating, check-in, coat-check, food prep and serving (we can pay for a food handler’s license if you need one), bartending (must have valid OLCC license), sensory relief room, and general assistance during the event.
