Join us for a gay camping trip at Willamette Mission State Park from September 22nd to 24th.
Capital Pride is hosting a camping trip for the LGBTQ+ Community.
Camping spots are paid for by Capital Pride (including parking), as well as some communal food. We have some money to help people who need a tent or other camping supplies, though that is on a first come-first served basis.
If you are able, we expect you to bring your own tent and sleeping bag, and whatever other items you would need to be comfortable on a two-night camping trip.
We will provide some communal food (drinks, snacks, and whatever we can afford for primary meals throughout the trip). As we get closer to the trip and know how many people are actually attending we will let you know if you need to bring any food. We will also bring some outdoor games (volleyball, horseshoe, bocce ball, etc.)
At the park there are a lot of hiking trails, a river, a disc golf course, and other outdoor fun.
There are no showers at the park. Our camp site has portable toilets, but there are plumbed bathrooms about a two minute walk from our campsite.
We have space for up to 75 people at the camp site, depending on the size and number of tents. If you have a tent that is large enough to fit more than just yourself and feel comfortable sharing your tent with others, we appreciate but do not require it.
Each individual on a trip must register to come. If you plan on coming with friends or family, have them register when you do.
