For just $8 (over 50% off), you can stretch those muscles every 2nd Saturday of the month from 10:30 to 11:30 am! Yoga mats will be available to borrow, but please bring your own mat if you have one.
This is an all levels class, with modifications available to adjust the class to meet your individual needs. There is never any pressure to do any poses that don’t feel good, with complete permission to back off from or completely skip any portions. If you need any significant accommodations or have concerns about what you will be able to do, we encourage you to come speak with the instructor, Michael, before class begins, so that you can collaborate on how we can help you get the most out of the class.

- Hike the God’s Thumb Trail OR walk along the beach on Saturday at 10am (Sign up here to hike either option!)
- Swim in Devil’s Lake or in the ocean
- Outdoor games: badminton, volleyball, frisbee, cornhole, & horseshoes
- Board games & cards
- Make s’mores by the campfire
Amenities: 40 people, 10 vehicles, No RVs 5 camping spaces for 2-3 tents each Restrooms and showers There will be limited access to electricity so bring a car charger or a power bank for any electronics. We ask that you try to fit your party into as few tents/vehicles as possible, so we can accommodate as many groups as possible. Carpooling is necessary if you are requesting a vehicle spot. What to Bring:

Food: Capital Pride will provide limited food and snacks, but if you have specific dietary needs or restrictions, we suggest bringing your own food.
Activities: Feel free to bring any games, activities, or sports equipment you enjoy!
Swim Suit: We will be located on a lake and close to the ocean, so you might wish to bring a swim suit, as well as any water-related activities. There will likely be no lifeguards on duty, so be careful and engage in these activities at your own risk, and always wear sunscreen!
Pets: Pets are allowed, but must be on-leash except in specified off-leash areas.
Medical Essentials: Make sure to bring any medications or personal supplies you will need for the entire weekend. It’s a long drive back to Salem, so you don’t want to have to leave early because you forgot something. This is especially important when carpooling with others, as this will disrupt their experience as well. In the event of a medical emergency, Capital Pride will ensure you get a ride back to Salem.
Tickets:
Campsites are being provided by Salem Capital Pride and are completely FREE, though donations are appreciated. Each ticket is for one person for the entire weekend. The Thumb via the Knoll Trailhead, 2262+8R3, Lincoln City, OR 97367, USA
The August hike will take place during the Pride Camping Trip at Devil’s Lake in Lincoln City. Anyone can sign-up, but this will be further away than regular hikes. This hike offers two options: a walk along the beach or a loop to God’s Thumb.
Both hikes will meet at 10am on Saturday August 23rd, God’s Thumb hike will meet at The Knoll Trailhead. The Beach hike will meet at the 5th Street Beach Access.
God’s Thumb will be a moderate difficulty trail. It will be 4.8 miles with 1180 feet elevation gain, lots of dirt and grassy paths and lots of steep elevation change.
Please keep an eye on the weather and come prepared. We will send weather and trail information out to people who sign up as we get closer to the event.
We will have some water bottles, backpacks, and trekking poles available for those who want them. Supplies may be limited due to Camp Weekend.
If you would like a ride, please participate in one of the carpools. Carpool organization may be limited due to distance and people already being at the Camping Trip.

On the 4th Saturday of every month, from 10 am to 12 pm, we’ll be meeting at the Community Health & Education Center to get our craft on!
Bring your craft supplies and hang out with other members of the community while expressing your creativity. All types of crafts are welcome as long as they are safe to do indoors.
Please be mindful that the Community Health & Education Center is a hospital building, so children must be supervised and well-behaved at all times. Be aware that there will also be security at the front entrance.
The CHEC is ADA accessible and located on 939 Oak St SE within the Salem Health Hospital campus. There are nearby bus stops and a parking lot directly outside the entrance of the building.

Normally Ticket to Play charges a $5 cover, but they’ve agreed to waive this fee for participants who make a food or drink purchase. If you are facing financial hardship, Capital Pride will cover the $5 fee for up to 4 attendees on a first come first serve basis.

The Salem Human Rights Commission’s LGBTQIA+ Rights Committee is looking for passionate individuals to join us in advocating for LGBTQIA+ inclusion and equity in Salem.
Since 2017, we’ve worked to address issues impacting the LGBTQIA+ community, including helping develop a transgender interaction training video for law enforcement and supporting ongoing inclusion efforts for municipal agencies. We also provide guidance to the Human Rights Commission and host the annual Transgender Day of Remembrance.
The committee meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m in Room 220 of City Hall.
Let’s work together to make Salem a more inclusive and welcoming place for all.
