Queer Prom 2026

This event is split into two parts. The first part goes from 4:30 pm-7 pm, is open to all ages, and is free. The second part goes from 7:30 pm-10 pm, is 18+, and tickets are $5. At the event we will also be selling food, drinks, desserts, corsages, polaroid pictures, and raffle tickets. We do appreciate donations though to keep us growing and to help support our programs that we host year-round. If you would like to donate, you can do so here.

Tickets can be purchased online via electronic payment. We will accept electronic payment or cash for food, drinks, desserts, corsages, polaroid pictures, and raffle tickets. Salem Capital Pride holds no liability for lost or stolen goods or money.

You may check your coat, bag, or other belongings at the check-in table near the entrance. We will provide you a ticket to hold onto in order to retrieve your belongings. You may request your belongings back at any time, but out of respect for our volunteers, we ask that you do not check belongings that you know you will need to access frequently, and instead keep those with you.

There is a small parking lot next to Deepwood, which will be reserved for ADA parking and event volunteers. Guests are asked to park on nearby streets or utilize public transportation.

We have hired private security for the event. Even though our event has no history of violence, we want to be prepared. They will be patrolling all sections of the event. If you see anything concerning, please report it to our trained security guards and do not deal with it directly.

We’ve chosen to host this year’s event outside to lower risk, but we still encourage people to mask and will have free masks available as needed.

However, we recognize that for large events like this it will be impossible for our small group of volunteers to be able to enforce masking and therefore do not have it as a requirement for our event. If you are immuno-compromised or otherwise vulnerable we ask that you determine your own risk tolerance in attending this event.

All efforts have been made to ensure that the event space is set up with space for wheelchairs, walkers, and other assistive devices. The ADA accessible path is indicated on the map below.

We will also have a Sensory Relief room with earplugs, chairs, fidget toys, calming activities, etc. for anyone feeling overstimulated, anxious, or that just needs a break. The Sensory Relief room is in the main building in a basement room. There is a single step up to get into the building.

There is a also a single step up into the bathroom.

We will not be serving alcohol at this event. Alcohol of any kind is not permitted at Deepwood, so bringing your own alcohol to Queer Prom is not allowed.

Smoking is prohibited at this event.

This is an outdoor event taking place under a covered tent so you should keep an eye on the weather and plan your outfit accordingly. Currently the forecast is partly sunny, partly cloudy, with a high of 64 °F, getting cooler in the evening. If you plan on dancing and moving around a lot you’ll probably be quite comfortable, but it might be wise to bring a light jacket in case you get cold. We will have a coat check available.

All ages are welcome to the first part of the Queer Prom which takes place from 4:30 pm – 7 pm. However parental guidance is always suggested for minors.

Animals are not allowed at this event unless they are service animals.
