Capital Pride is partnering with Oregon Wild (https://oregonwild.org/) this month for a special birding edition of our Queer Hike!
Join us to learn about queer ecology, our winged neighbors, and how our world and theirs intersect.
We will meet at 9 am on Sunday, April 19th at the Rich Guadagno Memorial National Recreation Trailhead of Baskett Slough Wildlife Refuge.
This will be a slow, easier hike focused on birdwatching and education, that is 1.5 miles long with 200 ft of elevation gain. Pets are not allowed on this hike, so please leave your furry companions at home. There will also be a limit of 15 participants for this hike.
The hike registration for this event is run by Oregon Wild, so Capital Pride will not be able to coordinate carpool or gear requests this month. If you have secured a spot and this is prohibitive to you being able to attend, please reach out to our Program Coordinator directly at keith@salemcapitalpride.org.
We hope you enjoy this unique new outing!
