In addition to the potluck, we’re starting a recognition book, where attendees can write nice notes and fond memories about the folks that make Capital Pride special. We’ll also be honoring the volunteers that went above and beyond this year with a personalized gift!

For just $8 (over 50% off), you can stretch those muscles every 2nd Saturday of the month from 10:30 to 11:30 am! Yoga mats will be available to borrow, but please bring your own mat if you have one.
This is an all levels class, with modifications available to adjust the class to meet your individual needs. There is never any pressure to do any poses that don’t feel good, with complete permission to back off from or completely skip any portions. If you need any significant accommodations or have concerns about what you will be able to do, we encourage you to come speak with the instructor, Michael, before class begins, so that you can collaborate on how we can help you get the most out of the class.
Transgender, nonbinary, gender diverse, gender non-conforming, intersex, and other non-cisgender folks are invited to join Mid Willamette Trans Support Network to support each other and check in about what’s going on in our lives.
Join Salem Rainbow Youth for a fundraising event to benefit Salem’s queer community, featuring live music and performances. Learn more about how to help make this dream a local reality–it is a family-friendly event, with no admission cost.
You’ll have a chance to participate in a silent auction, provide name suggestions for the new space, and help us provide survey information to our city as to why this space is so critically important.
Our goal is to include as much of our community as possible, so a sensory-friendly space will also be provided with live-streaming of the festivities. A YouTube livestream will be made available for those that are unable to attend in-person as well.
We are working to answer some FAQ’s, through both video and written formats, so stay tuned!

The December hike will be at Willamette Mission State Park.
We will be meeting on December 21 at 10am at the restrooms just past the entrance (https://maps.app.goo.gl/9ttjychSP8TX9Ait6).
The hike will be a 3 mile loop on unpaved trails with only a slight elevation gain. Willamette Mission State Park does require a parking pass for $10 unless you have a state parks pass. Carpool drivers will be reimbursed for the parking pass.
There is limited parking at this location so please participate in our carpools so that we can bring the most amount of people while also paying less for parking passes.

The Salem Human Rights Commission’s LGBTQIA+ Rights Committee is looking for passionate individuals to join us in advocating for LGBTQIA+ inclusion and equity in Salem.
Since 2017, we’ve worked to address issues impacting the LGBTQIA+ community, including helping develop a transgender interaction training video for law enforcement and supporting ongoing inclusion efforts for municipal agencies. We also provide guidance to the Human Rights Commission and host the annual Transgender Day of Remembrance.
The committee meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m in Room 220 of City Hall.
Let’s work together to make Salem a more inclusive and welcoming place for all.

Bring your craft supplies and hang out with other members of the community while expressing your creativity. All types of crafts are welcome as long as they are safe to do indoors.
Please be mindful that the Community Health & Education Center is a hospital building, so children must be supervised and well-behaved at all times. Be aware that there will also be security at the front entrance.
The CHEC is ADA accessible and located on 939 Oak St SE within the Salem Health Hospital campus. There are nearby bus stops and a parking lot directly outside the entrance of the building.
